In only our fourth season, the North Valley Misfits have grown to become a dominant club in the Arizona wrestling community. Over thirty wrestlers strong, varying in age from 5 to 25 years old, we have become a major presence at weekly tournaments. This past season has proven to be an extremely successful season with multiple wrestlers placing each week. As a whole, the club has amassed approximately 100 medals this season with several wrestlers qualifying for USAW Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota.
During the offseason, we look forward to several changes in the wrestling room and out that will offer our athletes a better wrestling experience while enhancing the club’s overall presence in the community. First of all, we have elected a new president and club manager. In addition to this, we have developed a board of directors. You can view the club organization under the About Us tab above.
Another change is the opportunity for our wrestlers to continue to hone their skills throughout the summer in the wrestling room. Coach Lopez will open the wrestling room for open practice each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Anyone interested is welcome.
